ART 101 provides an introduction to the history of art from the late Middle Ages to the present day as well as an introduction to the discipline of art history. It is not a comprehensive survey, but presents a sampling of artworks – painting, sculpture, architecture, photography and prints – and artistic practices from diverse historical periods, regions, and cultures.
